Fuel Up During Sahur

Before you begin your fast, it is encouraged for you to Sahur or in other words eat an early breakfast. This step in fasting helps to curb one’s hunger throughout the day.

However, breakfast should be loaded with healthy nutrients and macros that can keep you fuller for longer, such as sandwiches, protein shakes, dates or even rice. 

Whatever you choose, make sure the food contains high amounts of fiber, carbs and protein to keep you fueled and moving for the day.

Stay Hydrated

You should drink plenty of water during Sahur as well as Iftar. The water will help rehydrate your body after a long day of not drinking enough water.

Keep in mind to avoid sugary drinks while taking the first sip; this might lead to dehydration. But feel free to drink whatever you want afterwards.

Get Enough Sleep

You will be waking up an hour early during Ramadan. So, sleeping early the night before can help you feel well rested and not restless.
